Commitment to Community
For 28 years I’ve been proud to call Santa Cruz my home. Now, I’d like to bring my unique background, experience and perspective to the Santa Cruz City Council. I hope as you learn more about me, you’ll join my campaign and help elect me to City Council on November 3rd, 2020.
During my years in Santa Cruz I have demonstrated my love for community by working to support and advocate for all residents. I am committed to creating accessible and affordable housing, public health and safety, building safe communities, and ensuring economic sustainability for our people and for our local and small independent businesses.
Although we are facing many uncertainties about what lies ahead due to the COVID-19 crisis, I am confident in my ability to work hard, communicate clearly and collaborate on our most pressing issues to produce sound and equitable outcomes with compassion.
This next year will be extremely difficult as the pressing issues affecting our city will include economic recovery, racial and social equity, public safety, climate change and housing vulnerabilities. I am prepared to bring my unique lived experience to each of these issues, to work collaboratively to support our community and find sustainable solutions. We must not miss this moment to address these challenges.
My experiences have taught me the value of civil service, and I’m honored to have an opportunity to serve my community in a broader capacity. With your support, I will join our City Council to lead Santa Cruz in a healthy direction towards becoming an even more resilient, connected and inclusive community.
Thank you!

I had the pleasure of being a guest on the Paid the Co$t podcast with the amazing host Nativo Gonzalez. Some of the past guests have been Santa Cruz Police Chief Andy Mills, Capitola City Council candidate Margaux Keiser and Reggie Stephens of Reggie Stephens Foundation. This podcast was a fun format to share my intentions for running for City Council and I hope you can find the time to listen in!
